No baby boom here

My baby boy’s curls have been cut off, he’s slimmed down and grown up and definitely not a baby any more. Do I feel broody? No! Sad – yes, mourning the loss of the baby stage – yes, but just the thought of having another baby makes me feel nauseous.

     A friend said, “You do produce beautiful children,” which was a lovely thing for her to say but I did feel I had to correct her.

     “I have produced beautiful children,” I replied. Past tense, end of!
